What to do before factory resetting an Android device?

If there are no videos, photos, music, documents, etc. etc, locally held on the device and you have it all either on the MicroSD, in the cloud or another device. Well then, i see nothing more you need to do prior to factory resetting. However, if this android device is a smartphone, just make sure your contacts are backed up. If you wanted to, you could also backup your SMS. But i am sure you have that covered.

You have already moved your important apps.

IMO, i see nothing more you need to do.

You should have your contacts synced to your google account, same as your apps, so basically you need to focus on your personal items, photo's, videos ect. Once reset and signed back in with your same account, your contacts will be imported and you can manually place your applications back on which will recognize the google account and device. It's pretty straight forward.

Agree with illumination, backup data as videos/pics/etc into your PC/laptop by USB transfer its very easy because its android after this then you can count how many pics/videos/etc files in the folder make sure all are ok then....
