There are several good options with different ways to configure such as avast online security or Avira Browser Security or Norton Safe Web (Norton Security Toolbar without installing Norton Security)

I think he is talking about that privacy fiasco, which caused WOT to be removed earlier from FF & Chrome extension stores.

And due to that there is now the option to remove it from AdGuard as well.
WOT did that to themselves, but I heard they are under new ownership now,
I am still not using it though
