Why Kaspersky doesn't give an option to pause scans?

Seriously, why there isn't an option? Every other AVs have it. It's a pretty basic function, right? It's been like this for some years at least. I forgot if you could pause scans before. There's only one option, "Stop". Did they explain the reason for not having pause functionality? Anybody knows?

I don't know why they don't have it, but you know what you could do if you want a Pause button? Get ZoneAlarm. It's basically Kaspersky, but it also has an awesome firewall.

If I am not mistaken, pause scan option is available for Full Scans only. Nevertheless, if I am not mistaken again, if you stop the scan, it throws the report and statistics and below of it all it gives an option to resume it right where you left it.

I can see the option right there, Stop, will take you to the report, you'll have the button to resume the scan later.

For example with F-Secure one actually " pause " a scan as soon the Stop option is used and simple resumed when clicking Abort but, on the other hand I personal normally don't pause a scan.

Same signatures and cloud protection but I think it lacks the impressive System Watcher and Application Control of Kaspersky.

Yes, only Full System Scan has that resume option but other scanning options should have this too.

You don't need the option on any other scan, as they take seconds to run.
