Looks like it should be good for that the i3 is a nice processor and 4GB of ram should be good unless you find the programs you use, use a lot of ram, also i think it has a 5400rpm hard drive so you could always upgrade it to 7200rpm and more space too

Personally i prefer not to mix brands they can cause problems im running 4, 4GB corsair xms 3 @ddr3 1600mhz

I upgraded my RAM to V-Gen, and other is the original from first buying this laptop.

It's up to everyone to do as they please but be aware that problems may come as a consequence. I am not sure what the worst case scenario can be

you're right Valentine.
I had 4 months ,or more, use the V-gen combination with the original RAM from the first time I bought a notebook. no problem.
but I think, not all notebooks can be like that.

I just saw your post here

and i noticed that you bought in saudi arabia, the same place i'm at now, i was wondering about your experience so far with the "Toshiba C640-10E"

as i'm going to either buy it or one of those the three:
