Windows 10: a Chrome and Firefox tackle notification on battery consumption
Microsoft went to promote its Edge browser directly via a notification sent to Windows 10's users.
Last month, Microsoft released a video in which he had placed four identical PCs, each with a different browser. The idea was to compare the life cycle of the battery with Google Chrome, Opera, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Edge came first with 7:22 autonomy
This promotional campaign has not necessarily pleased to everyone, beginning with Opera Software that explained have done the same tests with very different results.
Now Microsoft has made another step and enables notifications targeting Chrome or Firefox's users directly within Windows 10. Look at the screenshot below published by Rudy Huyn (a Windows Phone app developer) and received as notification on its s laptop
Huyn received the prompt while using Chrome. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed the prompts also happen for Firefox's users. They were first turned on in early July.
Certainly, Microsoft Edge's users are invited to download Chrome, when visiting Google.com, and some will say it's a fair game
