Windows 10 work continues and Microsoft itself has said that it's developing new features for this operating system in order to give more time to Windows Insider Program members to take them for a spin, so it's no surprise that so many reports on these improvements come on a regular basis.

But one of the biggest enigmas for all of us is the build number of the next Windows 10 Technical Preview release, which could come, according to our own sources, in approximately two weeks.

There are some voices online who claim that the next version of Windows 10 Technical Preview shipped to users is going to be build 9880, a new release that would obviously come with several enhancements, including new options for the notification center and improved windows animations.

Some, on the other hand, claim that Microsoft might release an even newer build to users, and according to evidence found online, build 9883 was the latest to be compiled by company developers.

Even though there are so many vague details on this, one thing is clear: the next Windows 10 Technical Preview build will be in the 988x range and will include several improvements, most of which will address customer feedback received after the release of build number 9860.

As is the case with the other updates for Windows 10 Technical Preview, the new one will be released via the integrated update system that does not require a fresh install and performs the whole process automatically
