I would recommend as a free config:

1) Avast Free
2) VoodooShield
3) Comodo Firewall

OR

1) Sophos Home
2) VoodooShield
3) Comodo Firewall

& if you are crazy paranoid then just use Zemana Anti-Malware or Logger - introduces cost unless you win a giveaway. I would personally go with the blue/first config since I prefer Avast. The key problem with Sophos Home is that there's no quick scan at all & when I tested the software it took over 4 hours to do the full scan - wasting my time.

I would say use Avast or Windows Defender
Make sure Smartscreen is systemwide, UAC to MAX
Add a free on demand scanner like Zemana

UAC doesnt necessarily need to be set to max. default settings is fine
