Hi guys.
I’ve not been on here for a while but I’m now having a problem with my Windows 7 programme that keeps crashing. It happened after I was trying to speed up the starting process of the programme. I went into msconfig and changed the startup from one cpu to all 4 ( I think) and then clicked use all available memory. After restarting I now only get blue screen start ups and then onto system repair which has not affect st all. I’m just going round in circles. I could use Lenovo One key recovery but I think I will lose all my data and settings.
As you can probably guess I’m not very computer literate so can anyone help please.
Thanks in advance.

Restart your computer and on loading and after BIOS load, spam F8 and you'll get a list of Windows startup choices, choose Safe Mode with Networking and that should boot you in, then revert back the changes you've done.
Hi
I’ve tried the Safe Mode with NetworkIng but after a few seconds it just went back to blue screen again . Any thoughts about what to try next before I have to revert to factory settings ?

It’s g
Ok trying that

It’s gone onto Windows recovery again so let I let it run and see if it can fix itself again?

I think RAM or HDD might be faulty. If you get into safe mode, open cmd prompt and type chkdsk /f /x C:
Tried that. It’s just returned to Startup Repair again. I couldn’t type in the information that you asked me to try.

Start from the installation disk of Windows 7, repair, and choose the recovery tool "System symbol", but you know check this link:

Then execute the following commands from the console that will open:

C:/bcdedit/deletevalue {default} numproc
C:/bcdedit/deletevalue {default} truncatememory
or
D:/bcdedit/deletevalue {default} numproc
D:/bcdedit/deletevalue {default} truncatememory

With these commands the default values of the number of processors and RAM memory will be restored.

Restart the computer and check again.

I’ve got into command prompt and typed in the code but it’s saying Invalid Parameter - / xC:
Start from the installation disk of Windows 7, repair, and choose the recovery tool "System symbol", but you know check this link:

Then execute the following commands from the console that will open:

C:/bcdedit /deletevalue {default} numproc
C:/bcdedit /deletevalue {default} truncatememory

D:/bcdedit /deletevalue {default} numproc
D:/bcdedit /deletevalue {default} truncatememory

With these commands the default values of the number of processors and RAM memory will be restored.

Restart the computer and check again.

replace the letter of your hard drive
C:, D:, F:, G: or whatever
I’ve not got a Windows recovery disk but as it’s a Lenovo Laptop it has got One Key Rescue System that restores the computer to factory settings but I will lose all my info.

you must get an installation disk win 7
and burn it to a DVD with win 10 as a system image
then boot from the dvd and choose: repair, system symbol
and write the commands with the letter of your hard drive.

you say that you got into system symbol
write the commands there
try different letters or if you know
that your hard drive is G: you put that
although it is usually C:
test :
G: / bcdedit / deletevalue {predeterminado} numproc
enter
G: / bcdedit / deletevalue {default} truncatememory
enter

D: / bcdedit / deletevalue {predeterminado} numproc
enter
D: / bcdedit / deletevalue {default} truncatememory
enter

C: / bcdedit / deletevalue {predeterminado} numproc
enter
C: / bcdedit / deletevalue {predeterminado} truncatememory
enter

E: / bcdedit / deletevalue {predeterminado} numproc
enter
E: / bcdedit / deletevalue {default} truncatememory
enter

When it goes into recovery and Startup Repair can't fix the issue, you should be able to select Cancel and then go to System Restore.
