Windows 8 apps have many differences from these classic desktop applications that we know all these years. Some of them have to do with safety as they run on AppContainer.
So isn't safer for users to start using metro apps instead of the desktop ones? Examples? Document viewer, Photos app vs adobe reader, windows photo viewer or alternatives.
Metro apps cannot yet replace what we use everyday on the desktop but if what I say is correct, it's a good step towards a safer PC.
What do you think?

I do use a few Store apps to replace the conventional desktop app, for example: Skype and Adobe Reader Touch.

These were posted some time last year, points of view may differ between the Consumer and Business needs.

Microsoft gives developers 180-days (6 months) to fix vulnerable apps:

Interesting links! I also use Skype, Document Viewer and Photos App. We 'll soon have VLC too!
It seems that in a while 3rd party security software will be less required for users to have as Microsoft seems to do some steps towards a more secure OS.
PS: In Windows 8.1 document viewer is not that bad, Why do you use Adobe reader touch instead? Are there more features?
