Troubleshoot Windows Explorer not working... Wins 7-64

This message appears right after boot. Then receive message that Windows will try to repair...

Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful

Ran Sfc/ scannow

When booting I get "Windows Explorer not working" and Wins notifies that it is attempting to repair. After a few seconds all is good.

What maybe causing this issue. Ran sfc/scannow and it came out okay, no issues.

Did you try to check your local disk?

1. Open the Start Menu and click on the computer link.
2. Right-click the hard drive that Windows is installed on (usually c: ) and select Properties from the context menu.
3. Switch to the Tools tab and select the Check Now button under Error-checking
4. Make sure that both options are selected before you press the Start button.
5. The Disk check needs to be scheduled as the disk is in use when the operating system is running. It will start the scan automatically on the next startup.

Also verify if your Windows is up-to-date.

Try to conduct a system restore or repair by using bootable disc if available.

Likely the Windows Explorer maybe corrupt, a possible issue may link on the 3rd party programs that cause Windows Explorer to create crashes.

Did you run an elevated command prompt when you did sfc /scannow? Run cmd.exe as admin if you didn't.

First can you tell me if this error happens when you attempt to boot into safemode?

Also, as suggested; a system restore may be the best idea here, perform one from the recovery console.

Could you check if you have an application DesktopCal installed?

Control Panel > All Items (View) > Programs and Features.
