Bill P. has sold Winpatrol to the ex lead of Sunbelt Software (Vipre Antivirus) Bill Lowry. Winpatrols newest update since being sold is due out today.

Thank you Bill for one of the best pieces of security software I have ever bought, and here is to Bill Lowry to keep up the tradition!!

Thanks for that info. I will wait for a good review before I install it. I think I have used it in the past but, not certain? Is it compatible with Win 7 64 bit???

Probably not because VIPRE has been sold twice, first to GFI (2010) and now to ThreatTrack Security (2013).

Sunbelt Software the original developer no longer exists.

Bret Lowry started his new company just for the sole purpose of developing WinPatrol in 2014, he is no longer associated with VIPRE he left the development team back in 2009 just before Sunbelt sold to GFI.

Hopefully he will continue to keep WinPartol a nice product.

Enjoy!! :D

Does this mean Bill will no longer be running it? I would hate that. He handled support himself. I would miss him. Nobody cares about a project like its originator.

I will wait for a good review before I install it.

My review is this : I think no Windows user should be without it.
