Just a tip for those who test malware using Shadow Defender.
SD virtualizes the current session, and of course the data it contains so it is essential to encrypt/hide the personal data from any stealer sample.
If you want to use Wise FH, please consider that the free version simply hides the data using some Windows features; this is not a safe method because some malware may access these data by sending them on a remote server, you see the backdoor, for example.

For greater security it is better to use Wise FH Pro that hides and encrypts the data :)

Windows came up with a Hidden-Hidden file some years ago. Wise folders/files simply cannot be seen or found by AV. Watch AV logs for proof. Encyption is optional in Pro. Another feature of WFH is to password protect a file/folder, and of course it needs a password to open the application. WFH relys on it's own driver to function, it's not a basic Windows option in Folder View.

Basically Wise FH free use Windows built-in functions by adding the UI and as you say AVs, do not see the hidden files, but probably you can access them via DOS.
I'm not sure they are safe from sophisticated ransomware attacks and motivated attackers.

The problem is that a particular piece of malware could easily access the hidden files that in the free version are not encrypted.
It is good to hide something to someone but Wise FH free doesn't offer a solid and specific tool to protect your data from HQ malware.

The best way is by encrypting them with the Pro version or something else like Steganos Safe or Truecrypt.
