It's been a little over a year since the original release of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, but the momentum for the title apparently hasn't slowed down as Xbox Live Gold members will gain access to the title for free during the upcoming weekend.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six is a series that has been ongoing for almost 20 years. While each iteration in the series offers something new, the general theme focuses around a counter-terrorist unit attempting to thwart some madness that is occurring in the world. Unlike some other first person shooters, Rainbow Six Siege puts a critical emphasis on team work, with each member offering their own critical skill and contribution, making victories even more satisfying.

This isn't the first time Xbox Live Gold members have had free access to the game, but during the upcoming weekend, they will have unlimited access to all maps and game modes. For those playing, progress will be saved so if you choose to purchase the game after the fee weekend, you'll be able to continue with your achieved stats. Those that opt to purchase the title after playing the weekend will get 50% off the title.

Rainbow Six Siege will be free to play starting at 12:01 am PST on February 2 and continue to be free until 11:59 pm PST on February 5.

Free Download and Play between 2nd to 5th February on PlayStation Network, as well.

I'll be busy with Ghost Recon Wildlands though. :D
