As long you have a handy backup then its should not be the problem.

You may add a backup browser but this time your preferred choice which you feel more reliable incase GC cause issues.

Silverlight is mostly use on multimedia part of Microsoft website however if barely use then suggest to remove prior reducing the risks of vulnerabilities.

Java is fine if use on certain websites as assurance to stay it up to date.

I have partitioned HDD into system & data drive.
Data drive I backup to external HDD.
System drive haven't backed up yet. Waiting for Macrium 6 free to be released.
Silverlight, I had installed with Comodo Internet Security on Virtual Kiosk run.
I will keep Silverlight & Java.
Internet Explorer is my backup browser.

Hello yesnoo. Macrium version 6 has been released.:):)
You can download it here: http://updates.macrium.com/reflect/v6/reflectdlfull.exe

You've an impressive configuration, thanks for sharing it!:D

@yesnoo What made you decide to switch from Portable to Local, of Google Chrome?
Its a shared laptop i.e family members.
Internet Explorer & Google Chrome are installed. These are the main browsers.

I manage the system.
All the portable software, only I use & no one.
So GC portable was Chrome testing with uBlock & LastPass free to check any slowdown, probs, etc...
During my use for quite a few days found no probs.
So added uBlock & LP free to main browser i.e GC installed version & removed Adblock Plus from installed GC.

Removed GC portable as new version is released.
Now want to try Vivaldi browser but guess Vivaldi portable is not there, right?

By the way, if I change software, should I change main post too or just post here?

I mentioned Macrium Free.
Official site shows version 5, no free version 6 yet.
You liked my config:)thanxx:D
I did like your set up!:):)
..and understand perfectly your opting to wait for Macrium Reflect's free version 6. If not for receiving a generous gift of the full version, I'd be waiting for it too!;):D

Posting here makes for the most interesting reading!:)
Additionally, after adding or removing software, there is a thread by @Jack which shows how to update the thread fields. http://malwaretips.com/threads/how-...y-config-without-creating-a-new-thread.28299/

PS A Chromium sourced portable browser you might like is slimjet which I'd switched out for our formerly installed Opera.
I'm using it right now, ..and like it!:D
