This campaign imitates a Telstra account-security notification. It tells the recipient that a Telstra ID was recently used to sign in and presents a collection of technical details intended to resemble a genuine access alert.
The message warns that the account could be closed unless the recipient confirms that the password should remain unchanged. An observed link was hosted through Firebase Storage and opened a generic “Welcome to Webmail” form rather than a legitimate Telstra account page.
The unfamiliar sign-in is invented
A timestamp, operating system, geographic location, and IP address can make an alert feel personal. None of those fields proves that the sender has access to Telstra’s authentication records.
Scammers can write any values into an email template. The only reliable place to review activity is the official Telstra account reached independently through a known app or web address.
“Keep Same Password” is an unusual security action
A legitimate security warning helps the account owner review activity, secure the account, or change a compromised password. It does not normally require the current password to be re-entered on an unrelated website simply to keep it.

If the page requests an authentication code, the attacker may be attempting the real account at that moment. Never supply a code to a page opened from an unsolicited email.
