What it means
Find Hub may display a current or most recent known position for an Android device. The location is an estimate built from GPS, Wi-Fi and cellular signals. It can be old or imprecise, particularly indoors or when the phone is off. The timestamp is as important as the pin.
A real-world example
A phone appears at a train station where you changed lines two hours ago. That does not prove it is still at the station. You can ring it if nearby, mark it as lost and report the last seen information without confronting anyone.
What to do
Record the timestamp, selected device and status. Secure the phone through the lost-device controls and review account access from a separate trusted device.
The distinction that matters
