What it means
Stopping Partner sharing ends an ongoing route for another Google Photos account to see shared photos. It does not erase photographs the partner already saved into their own library, nor does it disable every shared album or link you created.

A partner saved family pictures last month. Today the owner stops Partner sharing; new shared photos stop appearing, but the saved pictures can remain with the partner.

Check Partner sharing, shared albums, link sharing and account security separately. Preserve your own copies before changing a setting you do not fully understand.
The distinction that matters
Google distinguishes Remove Partner from Stop sharing your photos and notes that saved photos remain accessible to the account that saved them. This is an access-control change, not a remote deletion tool. Recheck shared album links separately if your goal is wider privacy.
