Guys,

Just happened to see this interesting micro-firewall. I wondered if it's suitable for typical home user? From the look it seems one microfirewall to one pc/laptop? Right?

Pretty tempted to order one and try.

Yep your correct, I see no harm in trying it, before you do find out their policy though so you know
the kind of people you will be dealing with, refund / returns / repairs, Updates ect.
Don't buy in the blind, and keep us informed ;)

It looks interesting, but be forwarned that hardware firewalls are not simply plug-in-play solutions.

Ask @Nico@FMA about the basic principles of his hardware based firewall product.

Yup, the interesting part to me is its portability (claimed to be smaller than raspberry pi too). Anyway, let's see how it works after it arrived cuz from the looks of it, its kinda plug-n-play concept. LOL...

Looking at it now. Seems the shipping price abit pricey for me. But shouldn't be an issue. Most likely will purchase by end of the week.

I'm a try-n-throw user... LOL... I'll try. If it doesn't work. I'll throw. Muahaha.:p

Anyway I'm not an experience person to write a review for software/hardware. I can write a review based on the aesthetic/ergonomics design if you want to. :D

Looks interesting as it's comes with pfSense (works great but if you want to do https filtering... be the force with you). And only two NICs available, no upgrade.

Been looking into pfSense myself lately but for use in an discarded C2D E7400 config. Besides the size of a real machine the possibility of expansion is way better than in that little box. Besides pfsence now have support for multicore cpu´s.
If you have some old spare comp unused why not try pfsense there before spending $149+shipping+powersource on something you´re not sure of!

As stated above i´m very sceptical that you´ll find it to be of "Plug-and-play" concept even if it´s preconfigured to a certain degree...

The only thing you need is a decent Intel dual NIC or better that you can get on eBAY for $23. There are alot to chose from.

The sw is free and the difference with the "gold" edition is just techsupport as i understand it.
You might want to learn some basics of pfsense and i´d recommend looking at thoose videos:

But if you decide to go throw with the purchase plz let us know what you think!
