Protection varies. But as of now, 360 performs quite well in detection, often higher than Avast's

Any of them might have done something suspicious with people's info that they claim are anonymous

I would go with avast on this one, i don't know to much on Qihoo besides they are good at detection.

i have searched well for 360Internet Security, many are saying to do not trust on it, the vendor of it is monitoring us by using it, in China more than 90% people don't trust on it, its Chinese product.

i know it well, also i am using their many products, including my workstation pc, but i don't trust on their software products,

i am saying only about their software, not anything other.

Avast > 360
Scan any malware pack with 360 & whatever it detects thats its total detection i.e it will not detect any from the remaining on execution. Its proactive will throw popups but not suitable for average users.
Scan any malware pack with Avast & whatever it detects thats NOT its total detection i.e it will detect more from the remaining on execution. Avast new technology Evo-Gen, FileRep, Deepscreen, Dyna-Gen, etc are good in zeroday protection.

I have 360 Internet security on my Win 7 desktop (with Win 7 firewall) at the moment with no problems, its very light.

360 is miles better. Its detection is also higher. No bugs. The other one is full of bugs and crapware built right into it to annoy users.
