Windows is national security risk for all non US countries also :)
Our clients does not fear of security like before. Sale of AV is droping...
WD is there so we are using now this on clients with DUI Free plus our embedded firewall/UTM solutions for SOHO.
does 360 actually ever again intent to make a Android AV ? they had one at one point but i think it was banned ? or sold off or something and then vanished.

Why would anyone use Qihoo's products, including their 360 security software is beyond my mind. You know it's bad when Chinese government actually launched several investigations on the company and fined it few times. They are shady business caught doing illegal things many times. There are so much controversies about the company that Chinese Wikipedia literally has a full page just about them. Qihoo and their 360 products are literally a laughing stock on the Chinese internet.

So if the product is literal malware and spyware that not even Chinese users want to use it, why would someone here use it? Can its users present here give us some of the reasons? Because I'm genuinely interested.

We use as company before Kaspersky mostly. Than we move to 360 (find my reasons in thread). Now we are using mostly WD + DUI plus our firewall/utm for soho. 360 we will kill 2025.
Our last POS we are moving now to Android. Sometimes we sell Kaspersky Standard someone for office and that is.

Yes, they do. All antivirus software collects at least some data. But where they differ is where that data ends up and what antivirus company does with it. China has one of the most relaxed privacy laws in the world and the government has access to your data 24/7. There's a reason why none of Chinese apps have any type of encryption. Meanwhile all data collected by EU antivirus companies are kept in the EU which has the very strong privacy laws and practices so nothing can be done without your knowledge.

And in the post above, I'm not talking about spying, rather shady business practices by the mentioned company. It's literal scam, fraud.

Have you checked the link I posted? It's entire Wikipedia article full of Qihoo controversies. Yes, they have so many controversies that they had to get their own Wikipedia article.

If you don't care about spying, maybe you should care about fake Windows Update patches that Qihoo released to install their products without user knowledge.
They literally stole people's usernames and passwords which were then leaked on Chinese forums.

And don't be fooled. Using antivirus software from the other country won't protect you from your own government. It was proven million times before. If you did something, China will gladly share all the data they have on you with the US government (and by using Chinese products, they have way more than they would have if you used EU product for example). And while it may seem US and China are sworn enemies, it's not the case and the two cooperate daily on various investigations.
