I just wish they'd fix DoH to work natively in Windows without requiring the app. And switch to better provider in Europe, because the large part of the continent isn't covered.

The test confirms my feel that from my location Cloudflare, Quad9, ControlD are the fastest, with Google, OpenDNS and CleanBrowsing closely behind.
In another test (DNS Speed Test - Find Your Fastest DNS) CleanBrowsing also scores in the top5, but is not listed here).
In the test Cloudflare and Quad9 are actually a little faster, but ControlD declares itself as winner .

Oh my God who would have guessed that the fastest DNS to me is ControlD. Wow!

They most likely use a very intelligent algorithm.

If DNS is ¬ ControlD take computed ping and add 80 ms else use real value.

My results during daytime was different from those during night.

In my case, Quad9 is in first place, and CloudFlare is in third.
I'll keep using NextDNS.

Probably because DNS test are often over port 53 and API Void Browser protection blocks websites using unusual ports (not 80 or 443)

For me, Cloudflare is always first. Google and Quad9 exchange the spots between 2nd and 3rd place. ControlD is always in 4th or 5th while AdGuard and Mullvad taking the last spots.

AdGuard used to be a bit faster than ControlD for me until routing was changed and now I'm connected to Amsterdam, despite Frankfurt and Prague being way closer. Routing towards Mullvad is a disaster; going through Singapore and then back to Romania.
