I'm using the old Huawei Mate 20X. This morning for some reason Google Drive pops up a few times to ask me to do back up. Damn irritating. So I went to FORCE STOP it after all I'm not using it. And guess what? My phone's operation now works like in WARP SPEED. Everything from touching and opening an app and surfing the net immediately becomes instantaneous From what I know when you sign your phone with a Google account, i.e. when you bought the new phone, Google installed some of its apps. Try on your phone and see whether it's true. Anyway, you can always turn on Google Drive again if it doesn't work The other Google apps you can safely forced stop/removed are stated below https://androidforums.com/threads/what-google-apps-can-i-safely-disable.1260122/ :D
