So it took forever for my machine to boot up, and failed the first three times, but finally made it to the desktop successfully. The popups are still occurring, it seems with more frequency, after every mouse click when navigating in Chrome. Please let me know if you need any additional details. I do notice that my McAfee icon is not in the sys tray as it normally is. I know we disabled it but I just wanted to note that. Regarding that, the instructions for disabling the antivirus did not include my version / installation of McAfee, which is McAfee Total Protection. Just in the time that I have been entering this update, the intrusions after I clicked into my Start menu to look at the antivirus info, have been constant, and difficult to dismiss or click closed. Thanks again for taking the time to assist! It is greatly appreciated. Please let me know what to do next.
