AV-TEST Advanced Endpoint Protection: Fileless Threats

Disclaimer
  1. This test shows how an antivirus behaves with certain threats, in a specific environment and under certain conditions.
We encourage you to compare these results with others and take informed decisions on what security products to use.
Before buying an antivirus you should consider factors such as price, ease of use, compatibility, and support. Installing a free trial version allows an antivirus to be tested in everyday use before purchase.

From the report:
"The products of Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto and SentinelOne are listed as “Vendor A” to “Vendor D” (in random order) due to restrictions of their results publication. The products were tested in default configuration."

The report hid the concrete results for some vendors, and the test was performed for AVs on default settings. Many AVs do not apply the protection for the fileless threats by default.(y)
