AdwCleaner deleted needed folders. How can I recover them?

My computer experienced a browser hijack from hp.hfilevideoconverter so I followed the protocol listed on your website using Malwarebytes FREE, then HitmanPro, and finally AdwCleaner. AdwCleaner appears to have deleted 2 folders. (See file attached with notepad image). How can I retrieve these folders?

If you keep these folders and run the AdwCleaner tool they will again be deleted.

Deleted C:\Users\Leslie\Documents\MPC
Deleted C:\Users\Leslie\Documents\Xmas

You can set AdwCleaner TO NOT scan these folders.

Add the following to the exclusion list.

C:\Users\Leslie\Documents\MPC
Deleted C:\Users\Leslie\Documents\Xmas

Excellent information. I appreciate your reply.
I do have some questions....
1) In the qurantine list aftert he AdwCleaner scan, it had the two folders I need to keep, which I have successfully restored to my directory with your guidance. Does the quarantine identification mean there is something bad inside those folders? Do I need to take some other kind of action?

2) Also, there is one quarantine item I do not recognize: PUP.Optional.TheBrightTag.
Should it be deleted? I'm not sure what it even is....

Hi,

If you have important documents in these folders you should keep them.
The files in the folder you can delete what you do not need to keep.
If no file or you do not want to keep all the files delete the folders in bold not the Document folder

Deleted C:\Users\Leslie\Documents\Xmas

The files or entries in the Quarantine folder can be deleted if you do not know what they are.
