Something like a decade and half ago some people thought YouTube won't survive for long and Google will suffer incredible losses because of it, Now its the biggest media company of the world. And the most interesting thing is that those who used to be the leaders before You Tube they themselves are also using You Tube.
That's real innovation and the same thing is going to happen with the AI companies. They are spending heavily now but when they will reap the harvest, it be massive.

YouTube did not cause people to lose their jobs, cause widespread environmental destruction, or lead to hacking of survival sectors like AI do.
People don't realize that AI is unsustainable business. The only reason why the stocks were growing was because Trump let AI companies do whatever they want and at all costs. The only thing important was that Trump and tech bros got as much money as possible, nothing else. As soon as someone with common sense in their brain comes to power, most of those AI companies will go bankrupt.
Think about it. You have (new) companies that take out loans to build massive data centers equipped with the most advanced, fastest and expensive hardware, that use an alarming amount of electricity. Someone has to pay the bill, and simply selling subscription for 5.99€ per month won't cover it.
Have you noticed how Google gave AI practically for free, then reduced the pricing, and then moved more advanced models out of the blue to the most expensive plan? That's what I'm talking about. And the price will keep increasing because you can't pay billions of € of debt with a cheap subscription. Google, Meta and Microsoft was in somewhat good position because along AI, they also sell other products. OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity on the other hand, are doomed because everything they offer is AI.
I honestly can't wait for AI bubble to burst because that's the part us, average people, will profit the most. AI companies go bankrupt -> data center craze goes away -> hardware manufacturers have full warehouses of products that can't go anywhere -> sold on discount to make room for new inventory.
