So my little brother accidentally clicked a cs:go scam link on cs go which led to his steam acc being hacked. I got the account back but I'm paranoid that there's a rat or something on his pc. I've ran malwarebytes, hitmanpro and kaspersky but none of them found anything. Do you think he might have a virus or do you think they just got his login settings to steam from the link?

Hello,

Do you still need my help?
Yes it would be appreciated since I'm not that knowledgeable in malware. The thing is I don't know if the pc is infected with a rat. Since none of the anti-viruses found anything I feel like it should be safe but I'm still paranoid. Any way to find out for sure or should I just factory reset the pc/roll it back a couple of days if it has a restore point?

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.

  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
