Alright, Vote on the poll.

I got my Galaxy S3 now but I haven't done or have all the time to research Security/Anti-Virus apps.
 
Congratulations! :D

I don't have an AV, common sense does the job. But if I have to choose, it will be Avast.

Also make sure that Unknown Sources is unchecked (Settings > Security). Note that as long as it is unchecked, you will only be able to install apps from Play Store.

Why not recommend it then? You could point out the Features, the Pro's and Con's in a written review. ;)
 
I have Avast installed, but not for the Antivirus protection, I keep it for the remote self-destruct ability if the tablet ever gets lost or stolen, so that no-one has access to my accounts

AV on Android is useless
 
Prey Anti-Theft may be good, if you're not interested in AV for Android.

Ah nice thanks, I remember installing this on a laptop a while back, didn't know it supported Android
