Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the Dr.Web Virus-Finding Engine (7.00.10.08210) in its products Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0; in its software products incorporated into Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite, Dr.Web Server Security Suite, Dr.Web Mail Security Suite, Dr.Web Gateway Security Suite and the Internet service Dr.Web AV-Desk; in the Dr.Web CureIt! and Dr.Web CureNet! utilities; as well as in the recovery tool Dr.Web LiveDisk. The update delivers new features and resolves known issues.
Issues have been eliminated that involved the heuristic analyser registering false positives while processing RTF and PDF files as well as Google Chrome and Yandex.Browser installer files.
To avoid false positives for files processed by the heuristic analyser, digital signature verification has been added.
The anti-virus engine can now unpack CRX files.
Concurrently, a number of other bugs have been fixed.
The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
