it was 2004 or 2005, i was using the old XP combine with NOD32.

aaannd NOD32 was terrible that day ( because i didn't have internet access on that year, i can update my AV :lmao: )

Haha, I should't laugh at your misfortune but I can't help it :D I had a similar experience on XP many years ago when NOD32 wasn't picking up viruses, 'good times' dare I say :p

I was a long time ago during the good old DOS days called Sampo and Die Hard. Actually the infected files was from my cousin so i just toyed around with it.

With worms, I think it was way back 2007 or 2008, got that one on an internet shop but I got rid of that right away.

Now I still play with malware if I get my hands on a new and undetected sample

My first ever infection came with something called Clock Tray Skin in 2007 or sooner, on Windows XP.
(The software was genuine Trial edition, but the installer was installing 26 stunning PUPs!)
I remember that when I leave the internet browser open, it would open some scam sites.
I didn't know what they mean, so I clicked Next, then... I administered myself with 25 PUPs. Accidentally.

My first infection was back around late 90's. When i first got my 1st pc at the age of 12/13 first thing i did was google porn! and of course i got infected like crazy with a million popups and viruses from kazaa, winmx. I did not know a thing about computers at the time so every time i infected the pc like crazy at least once a month my uncle would repair it for 20 quid (all he did was reformat and put AVG on it).

I also used to use the old MSN chat rooms i remember going to a computer help channel and asking for help because my pc was playing up and like a dumb ass i am i let a random guy have remote control over my pc and i watched him delete a important windows file on purpose which caused my pc not to boot but i had no clue i was new to the pc world at the time.

I also used to chat to random people on msn messenger, turns out one of them was a hacker! he randomly sent me a message saying "you need a firewall" along with all my passwords for my email, games etc.. every single password for everything i used he messaged me on msn i think after that point i got a little paranoid and started to mess with security.

I don't remember my first infection because it was so long ago but I will never forget the day when I downloaded and installed Kazaa Media Desktop to my system. I spent several days cleaning up spyware and adware, it was loaded full of forced crapware.

Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware removed most of the junk but I ended up buying Webroot SpySweeper to cleanup everything.
Back then SpySweeper was the best spyware and adware removal tool. Time sure flies that was back in 2002.

Kazaa Media Desktop was a lesson learned.

Enjoy!! :D

My first virus infection was with Win32/Parite back in 2007 along with a AV blocker malware. I wasn't an active internet user but somehow managed to infect my PC with it. I was quite a noob back then and realised that I am infected when 60% of all my applications including system ones became unusable. :D

I remember I've had to use a DOS anti-virus to clean up the infection, thus allowing me to back-up my important data. :)
