It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.

+1 to that. But if you are testing some other security product, for the viewer its a kind of an eyesore to see smartscreen pop up every now and then.IMHO it will be better to switch it off while testing...

At least if you put, at the beginning of the video , a disclaimer saying that smartscreen blocked all the tested sample, people will be educated about it and may start trusting it instead of disabling it. Same applies to UAC.
