It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.

Tachyon is a South Korean antivirus, totally unknown.
Tachyon used to have a free version for personal use, but this has now disappeared.
The publisher has partnered with Bitdefender to include its engine in this v6 . Please note, however, that this is just the SDK engine, with no access to the Cloud.
Tachyon also complicates the task of installing it, as only the old, obsolete version (v5) is offered!
You have to go to the Korean site to get v6, which is of course in English.

User interface :
Tachyon's interface is quite clear, resembling that of AhnLab v3 Lite!
The product is well configured by default, and seems to be suitable for novices.

Web protection: 11/11
Tachyon doesn't offer Web filtering; only anti-malware engines will react, especially Bitdefender.
The product reacts very effectively to malicious downloads.

Fake crack : 1/1
Tachyon detects the file during extraction with Bitdefender detection!

Malware Pack : Remaining 14 files out of 106.
Even if Tachyon has Bitdefender's excellent engine, a detection engine isn't enough and shows the product's inadequacy or even incompetence.
Tachyon can't catch the malware I run. The malware installs itself without any reaction from the antivirus, and the machine is quickly infected.
It's a pity, because it started out so well...
Tachyon can't even remove malware from the pack... why?

Final scan :
Tachyon : 0
Malwarebytes : 15
Autoruns : 2
NPE : 5
KVRT : 6 (Infection in memory ! )

Final opinion:

Tachyon's security solution is light and unobtrusive enough to be appreciated by novices.
Tachyon's partnership with Bitdefender is a great asset, as in the past, Tachyon has lagged far behind when it comes to detection.
However, an anti-malware engine doesn't do everything, and in fact it's totally insufficient for protection, as evidenced by the fact that the machine is quickly infected without any reaction from the engines.
Despite a good start, this lack of proactive protection severely undermines the rating.
I don't recommend it.

Thanks for your detailed review. It's clear that while Tachyon Internet Security v6 has some strengths, such as its partnership with Bitdefender and user-friendly interface, it falls short in crucial areas like proactive protection and malware removal. Your insights will be valuable for users considering this product.

thank you

SOO SOO SAD especially with a name like Tachyon you would assume that the antivirus should know all the future infections without even being told! Tachyon is a theoretical subatomic particle akin to a photon that unlike photon, it travels faster than light and the lowest velocity it can travel at is light speed and it travels backwards in time. Thus, the information it brings should be of the future.

Unfortunately, only the name is Tachyon. The technology is very much signaturyon. 🤷🏻‍♂️
