Hello fellow forum members!

I am about to buy MacBook Air however I cannot decide if I should go with Intel CPU or rather choose for Apple's M-1 chip?
I don't have plans to run Windows on MacBook so M-1 seems to be way better option mainly due to better overall performance.
What's your opinion guys?

I would go for the M1. Apple really did a phenomenal job with their first chip in the series.

The only downsides for the M1 lineup so far that I've seen (besides not being able to run Windows) is:
  • Multiple external display limitation
  • No eGPU support
If those don't matter to you, then definitely go for the M1.

Note: SSD is not user upgradeable on the M1. Not sure how it is on the Intel versions though.

M1 without a doubt. It’s performance and power efficiency blow everything else out of the water. There are no good reasons to buy an Intel MacBook- its yesterday’s technology and you would very quickly regret that decision.
