  • A trusted journalist has dished out more details regarding upcoming Mac computers.
  • It’s claimed that another Arm-powered Mac Pro will launch in H2 2023.
  • Three more Mac computers are apparently tipped to arrive in 2023.
Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman took to his Power On newsletter to reveal that Apple is testing a new iMac desktop computer. This is said to be a 24-inch model and is purportedly set to ship in the second half of 2023.

Gurman also claims that this new iMac is being tested with the same colors as its 2021 predecessor and could be equipped with the in-house Apple M3 processor.

Otherwise, the journalist says Apple is also planning to launch three more Mac computers in spring and summer 2023. These will apparently be the first 15-inch MacBook Air, a refreshed 13-inch MacBook Air, and a Mac Pro with Apple Silicon for the first time (M2 Ultra).

Looking beyond 2023, Gurman asserts that an iPad Pro with an OLED screen and M3 chip is set to launch in H1 2024. He also claims that the first MacBooks with an OLED screen and touchscreen support will arrive in 2025.

Apple today introduced an Apple silicon version of the Mac Pro that uses the new M2 Ultra chip, and with that update, Apple's transition to Apple silicon is now complete. The first Apple silicon Mac came out in 2020, and three years later, every Mac is using Apple-designed chips.

The ‌Mac Pro‌ was the last Mac that was still using older Intel chip technology, and with the launch of the new ‌M2‌ Ultra model, the Intel versions have been discontinued.

Apple may still be selling refurbished Intel Macs through its online store for refurbished devices, but none of its current product lineup is using Intel's chip technology.

The ‌M2‌ Ultra chip is available in both the ‌Mac Pro‌ and the Mac Studio, both of which can be preordered today and will launch next week. The ‌M2‌ Ultra ‌Mac Pro‌ is priced starting at $7,000, while the ‌M2‌ Ultra ‌Mac Studio‌ is priced starting at $4,000.
