If many users are encourage to buy Bitdefender due to advertisement tactics, the more performance issues occurred if isn't resolved.

Not a bad result for a free AV.

This test would not of involved free Antivirus software, if it has Trend in there.

Some of these AV's are premium packages as they do not offer free versions.
That said where is Symantec on this list? and is this list premium only or mixed?
Other then that nice list

It depends for the security companies on which product they will used as a representative contender.

Since they will follow the rules and regulation from AV-Comparatives.

Bitdefender software was the only antivirus software from all 21 firms tested to catch 100% of the malware thrown at it in the April 2013 Real World Protection Test by AV-Comparatives, the independent global antivirus testing organisation. The test – recognized by outside authorities as the organization’s most complex and comprehensive – drew competitors including Kaspersky, AVG, McAfee, Trend Micro and others.

Giving 100% detection rate is just a tool to advertise and receive criticisms lately apart.

Confusion for other users since most AV companies does used rewards as tactical way to encourage paid licenses.

AV-Comparatives should list how many times these AVs crashed their computers during the tests. Would be a different result maybe, but Bitdefender would still be #1 in that, too.

Well you deffo got a point there, because its true that some AV's are notoriously know for crashing the PC during certain removal processes, and its reasonable to assume that on AV-C their test system it would happen as well.

But then again some malware is known to crash the system as a last ditch during detection.
So one could argue if crashing the system can be blamed on the AV.
Still you got a point.:D

Like AV-Comparatives, they used as possible the standard system requirements to make sure nothing could caused crashes and conflicts.

Malware crashes for some reasons, but mostly when detected by a virtual environment.

Funds received is equivalent to bought a powerful network test center.
