Whole Product Dynamic Tests
In this test all features of the product contribute protection, not only one part (like signatures/ heuristic file scanning). So the ability of detection/protection should be higher than in testing only parts of the product. We would recommend that all parts of a product would provide high protection, not only single components (e.g. URL blocking protects only while browsing the web, but not against malware introduced by other means or already present on the system).

The malware samples from may were better detected by all the vendors when compared with April. :)
G-Data with the BitDefender + Avast engine on the very top.. all I can say is Congratulations!...but whenever I've tested G-data on my system it always had a high impact on the system/
F-Secure proves that it has some solid signatures, while Norton is the suite that performed "the best" if we take into account all the previous tests.
As for Avira Premium and the 3,1% Compromised.......all I can say is : That's a suite that can't face all the 0 day malware.

Well even they made a beta test for SP2 its better if they made a major version (like 2011).

3. BitDefender IS : 99,5% ; 0,5% Compromised.
4. Norton IS : 99,5% + 0,2% User dependent ; 0,3% Compromised.
Should Norton not be listed third?

The rank is made according to the detection rates. Both Bitdefender and Norton managed to detect 99,5% so both are on 3or4 depends on how you see it.
As a note the above ranking was made by Av-Comparatives.
So any surprises for you in the May results?
