Out-of-box is with MSE or without MSE ?
Why would they test Windows 7 without MSE?

So yes, it's with MSE and can be obtained easily from Windows Update in Windows 7.

All the details are explained in the PDF (page 12) for Aug/Nov 2013 on Dynamics Tests.

I tought that test was made by default Win 7-> Windows Defender because it says out of box nothing about MSE.

@WalterWolf The term 'out-of-box' is explained the PDF documentation, the Charts are only half the story.

some people think user dependent portion of the results is actually a success which it is NOT.
so what if you security software asks for every single action that is being done on your system and you press block on every single one of them and you gain 100% detection, it would be an unusable piece of crap which consumes more time of the user to answer all those pop-up questions than open something up and use it. that way AV's wont even need signatures and just ask for every single thing.
and what if the user dont know which answer to choose since the AV doesnt provide much of an info.

so yes almost 6% of the user dependent detection achieved by AVG is worthless!

So is your argument, IMO, as it is more driven by personal dislike/bias, rather than objectivity. So we'll just agree not to agree on this and move on. Cheers.
