Every new version gets worse. Too many useless social integrations and news/message center.

This public beta looks buggy.

I agree on the bloat.
If past betas from avast! are anything to go on i would expect many more releases before final ;)

A beta version, buggy? I've never heard of such a thing before!

For me its not a problem since if they will displayed as non intrusive social integration plugin. Its matter way to advertise the product.

You know what I mean.. another Beta release or two, then it might be worth installing on a spare system.

Example of Known Issues
- In some cases, WebRep Chrome plugin is not installed correctly
Seriously? Avast 6 could install the WebRep plugin without problems. Why should this a problem on a7b?

- Problems with avast sounds on Win 7 and Win Vista
Same for this too, why are there problems? Sure they didn't change anything from a6, or does it support 3D HD audio. (/sarcasm)

I know in avast! 6 the social features can be disabled (ie. avast! Marketplace).

I have never understood this fetish of shiny graphics. Does excessive graphics really improve the experience for the user?

The bloat is.. Noticeable in this release (remote assistance? Really?).
I might have to reevaluate my recommendation of Avast.

Dispite all that, I am looking forward to seeing how the file reputation system does against SmartScreen when windows 8 comes out.

Good news from AVAST!
I plan to use it after 1 or 2 months of beta-testing. I don't want to encounter many bugs. :p

I'm impressed with the latest beta release of Avast! but the only things that I don't like are the bloat and the excessive graphics.
