I wonder how well that really works and how well the browsers themselves work. I am testing here on the Avast browser now, it seems to be very fast and it blocked the Eicar and AMTSO test pages.
I wanted to ask here, I did search but did not find much about this here or anywhere else either. What is the opinion here on the secure browsers offered by Avast and AVG? Are they really all that good at security? They claim to block tracking and fingerprinting and the Avast browser has an isolated mode for banking and financial sites. I wonder how well that really works and how well the browsers themselves work. I am testing here on the Avast browser now, it seems to be very fast and it blocked the Eicar and AMTSO test pages. Both have a built in ad blocker that looks to be based on Adguard, it seems to work well and has 3 settings. Both browsers are Chromium based but are said to not have the Google tracking/spying going on. I would appreciate very much any input on this, whether good or bad. Thanks for any help. C.H.
