Avast Hardened Mode & Ransomware

How is Avast Hardened Mode - Aggressive & Moderate Mode against Ransomware, especially Aggressive Mode as it allows only files whitelisted by Avast?

In Hardened Mode on Aggressive only executable files with high ratings are allowed, others are prevented from running.
But the only certainty is that nothing is certain!

I've personally tested this with samples from the hub (credits to the guy's that provide them) Nothing has gotten through a tweaked Avast yet, no ransomware, nothing.

Even you are not connected in the internet, Avast can determine accurately the programs that are not prohibited to run due to cache cloud mechanism.

So honestly you are safe with Avast Hardening Mode at all, of course removing undetected threats must accompany with proper disinfectant tools.
