I recently Installed Avast Internet Security 2016. When I checked my windows firewall, it was enabled. Is Avast supposed to leave it enabled by default, or disable it?

Thanks,

I have been trying Avast IS 2016 for about a month now and yes you do need to disable Windows Firewall manually.I have tried it with Windows Firewall enabled and experienced no problems with both running. However IS & premier are meant to be used with the Firewall component enabled and there is not much point in running both Firewalls.
Been an ongoing question for many years.
