Here is my new test - AVG AntiVirus Free 2015
The test is divided into 3 parts:
  1. AVG AntiVirus Free 2015 - Part 1 (Installation i First Look)
  2. AVG AntiVirus Free 2015 - Part 2 (Synthetic Test)
  3. AVG AntiVirus Free 2015 - Part 3 (Malware & Phishing Test)

=== GOOD ===
- installation (about 2 min)
- update (about 2:30min)
- low RAM usage (about 35-40MB)
- self defence
- malware url 7/10 (70%)
- fast on-demand scan
- malware folder final score is 391/398 = 98.24%

=== BAD ===
- slow first restart (50 sec. more)
- slow first boot (45 sec. more)
- 10 AVG processes
- no Quick Scan
- phishing url 3/10 (30%)
- very slow clean/repair malware
- CPU usage when clean/repair malware (50-60%)

Very good performance from AVG, is see that they have improved from the previous version which is great:D

I love the "Synthetic Test". the way you make it in 3 parts.
AVG is a good product, I love the ID Protect and how it removes active malware. What I don't like are the ads and alerts (are so annoying, way too many).

AVG is a good product, I love the ID Protect and how it removes active malware. What I don't like are the ads and alerts (are so annoying, way too many).

AVG surprise me in a good way (because I always here only bad things) and i never used and tested properly before.
I don't see any ads accept on interface...

Great to see AVG still performing well after all these years(and still free).

Don`t think it would make your machine idiot proof(i.e. teenager proof) but maybe if you teamed it up with CFW(tweeked to the max) you`d come darn close ?
