Thanks for the video! Detection rate on AVG seems to be very sophisticated now. Still, protection on non detected fail is basic. Thanks for upload! Keep it up.

Thanks for the video @safe1st!! Looks like the only thing they really need to work on is PUP detection but i guess we shall see what the future has in store for this company. See if being acquired by Avast will hurt or improve either company.

Maybe... slightly better in detection ratio. Since Avast free and AVG free, Avast free has good features.
Avast should add AVG engine, IF they have plan to combine. But... I dont think they will do it

the great news is, vlk said they are working on to combine those 2 engines into a single engine with goodies from both. Beta testing would probably available at the end of this year

The detection capabilities of AVG is decent but different compare to those top contenders nowadays.

They need to improve more on BB (Identity Protection) to be active in such scenario of unknown threats.

Avg did good.
As most security products they also need to improve PUP detection.
My only complain is that it has a lot of processes. I hope also this would be solved by Avast.

I read that they'll continue with existing products; AVG and Avast.
