Could you expand on "Web Browser is weak"? Or did you mean Web Protection.

What do you think about the Pricing of the Pro version?

Like Earth said expand "Web Browser is weak". I thought that AVG didn't have a web browser.

Im thinking that the web protection is weak as Earth suggested.Im 99.99% sure AVG has no browser.I have never used AVG mobile.Priced at $9.99 its not as expensive as some but most reviews I have read on the pro version state that there were not many differences in the free version and wished they would have stuck with the free version.I like Avast Mobile Security and its free.Right now Im trying out ESET Mobile Security with some 90 day trial keys.Eset has some good security functions which are similar to the AVG good points listed above.

Free softwares I like for Android:
1}Commodo Security & Antivirus - excellent and packed with features
2}Avast Mobile Security - very good, not as many features as some others

After playing with Android for quite some time, I have really realized how AV apps on Android are almost really useless. If you read permissions and understand them, and you don't side load apps then it is better not to pay for one or even get a free version. Except if you want to use other features present in that app like Anti theft, firewall and few others. All this can be offered for free by Avast. Also in the newly released Avast for android there is a web based anti theft along with SMS commands.

From my experience, the only malware type that I got installed on my Android tablet is the Adware called Airpush, which displays ads in the notification bar. There is no way to figure that out from the permissions, you need to take your time to read some reviews in the play store.

Android AV programs don't have root (admin) access, they only search the apps for infections, if the app installed was not detected, then it can't protect from changes to the system.
