Hello and welcome to the Avira Pro test!
Avira is a German company, very well known and appreciated by the geeks.
It is one of the leading freeware with Avast and also offers a paid version, which is supposed to offer more security than its free edition.
Avira was bought by NortonLifeLock in early 2021, however, no changes have taken place, Avira continues to maintain its software.
Avira's interface is clear, although we won't appreciate the extra tools (Avira Speed) that we can remove if we take Avira Prime.
In terms of protection, Avira proves its efficiency and its formidable Cloud!
On the Web, there is nothing to say, Avira has done a perfect job on phishing and malicious URLs.
On the pack, Avira detects a lot, but one file (the Patched.Gen infection) manages to install itself and cause damage. Avira intervened several times, placing the files in quarantine, but since the infection was very fast, Avira could not fix everything.
Apart from this misstep, Avira proves once again its efficiency!

Phishing Test : 5/5 (all detected)
Malware URL test : 10/10 (all detected)
Fake crack : 1/1 (detected)
Malware Pack : Remaining 83 out of 575 files.
Avira detects all the launches thanks to the HEUR/APC detection, except for one file that will do some damage. Avira will try to defend itself, but the infection is very fast, the antivirus will not be able to repair everything in time
