When selecting the best specialized protection solution for 2019, we recommend a cold calculation. If you have any question or doubts, we encourage you to take a substantive discussion in the comment section below.
Recommended paid antivirus suites of 2019 for micro-businesses and home users (SOHO)

Software had to meet at least one condition in order to be on the list:
  • Providing a license for commercial use and/or the retail market.
  • We haven’t taken into account commercial software with a temporary promotion for “0 PLN”.
  • Providing at least good protection based on our tests and external tests.
The following mini-reviews, general recommendations, and final assessment have been developed not only on the basis of the results achieved in various test categories.

When you look at the 2 posts about AV Labs, here is what I would consider to be an easy condensation:

In addition, regardless of the solution chosen, we recommend to:

· Perform full scan of all disks immediately after installation. Owing to this, security state of a computer will be verified at the very beginning and an antivirus itself will work more efficiently.

· Install the uBlock Origin extension in a browser which blocks ads or JavaScript code that uses processor cycles to mine cryptocurrency.

· Install the NoCoin tool that is intended specially for protection against cryptojacking threats.

· If a product doesn’t have a firewall, it’s worth using, for example, the GlassWire firewall.

· It’s worth using VPN tunnels. A good VPN should always be active when performing payment operations on the Internet.

· Install additional protection in a browser. We particularly recommend the Avira Browser Safety and Bitdefender Trafficlight solutions which don’t cause problem in the form of false alarms. They don’t slow down websites. They guarantee very high effectiveness against malicious content, domains initiating drive-by download attacks, and cryptocurrency miners (even on seemingly “secure” websites marked with a green padlock).

· Spyshelter FW and Norton Passed all tests, even at default settings.

· Panda, Kaspersky, Comodo, and Zonealarm all passed with custom settings.

Everyone else failed.

Payment for testing is not obligatory. It depends on the generosity of every producer.

The list of partner logos in the footer shows who provides us some information to build content on the website. It has nothing to do with the fees.
There's a discussion over at Wilders Security, you might want to reply there as well.

YES THAT! And since the above is true. I wonder if the best security would be Norton AV (Just the Antivirus) along with SpyShelter Firewall ?

While it would certainly be good protection, you have to keep in mind that they got "perfect" during this round of testing. AV-Labs could run another test and they very well might not get perfect. The thing with tests is that it's just s snapshot in time, it's not always guaranteed that these products will be perfect every time. No product is ever perfect, despite what some test results may say. In regards to this test in particular, I would say that there are quite a few products that did fairly well and you will be well served with either one of them.

Another thing to note, as I've mentioned earlier in this thread, if the server itself is compromised, no amount of protection on your end will save you unfortunately. Products go up and down from one test to another. While fun to read and gain some insight, they should be taken with a grain of salt. If you take them to literally, then you just end up playing musical chairs (for security software) each month a new test is out.;)
