I can 100% recommend Jetico as a company and BCWipe. It's expensive but it's very very effective at deleting files. They offer discounts for renewals which is a plus.

Initial cost covers updates and support for one year, but afterwards the software will work forever (without updates to new versions). After initial license expires, the renewal fee (for additional upgrades / support) is half of what you initially paid. Honestly, it's not a bad business model. Most software with 'lifetime license' that includes updates and support end up going out of business anyways.
