I voted other as there was no option to choose 'None'. It really isn't needed as you're using CS settings as CF will sandbox or block (depending on how you've set it) any unknown files. I would add a a basic AV only as a backup if you let something through accidentally.

thank you all for your recommendation, comodo seems to be a good choice to stick with any input on a av that would work well with comodo firewall?

kaspersky free would be the best option because of its signatures and web filter + it's super light

another option is zemana antimalware. you can grab free license keys somewhere in this forum. zemana + CF is the lightest option and they are basically free. if you use zemana, add a web filter extension to your browser: avira browsers safety or norton safe web

which would you choose, based on level of protection & performance?

All the configuration time, effort and frustration is better spent studying and practicing with COMODO to learn how it works and learning its expected behaviors and quirks.

A software restriction policy with COMODO is unneeded - set the sandbox to block unknown\untrusted files - but that also means it will block the few Windows and other safe publisher files that COMODO inevitably rates as unknown\untrusted. If you cannot cope and handle such blocks, then don't configure the sandbox to block unknown\untrusted files.

You can disable the cloud lookup to reduce some of that, but what's the point of using COMODO then.

If you still want to lockdown your system, then you can use AppGuard.

Granite Appguard?...what's that?
BTW back to topic...additional BB to CFW?...actually it would be useless but if you want so whay not?...ThreatFire or Dynamic Security Agent?...two standalone BB that still can be installed and useful.
My question - Kaspersky, Bitdefender, Avast, Qihoo, Emsi...do they have some standalone BB?

Appguard can be ordered here:
AppGuard Store
If you ask them for a discount, traditionally they give 50% off. I don't know if that policy still applies. But it doesn't cost you anything to ask.
There is a 30 day refund policy, but no free trial. You pay up front, and get your money back if you are not satisfied.

About Comodo BB: the Comodo advanced protection tab has anti-exploit settings that can be tweaked and customized. Check it out. It can do a lot.
