AV-TEST Best Android antivirus software (November 2020 Report)

In November 2020 we evaluated 17 mobile security products for Android using their default settings. When conducting our tests, we always used the most current version of all products. The products were allowed to update themselves at any time and query their in-the-cloud services. We focused on malware detection and usability, including performance and false positives. The products had to demonstrate their capabilities using all components and protection layers.

Didn't read the report, but Bitdefender Free works perfectly to compliment Play Protect.

Really excellent results with most programs, anyone here ever have a virus on there phone and if so, any noticeable signs of something being wrong?

Having AV on my smartphone always causes more issues than solve any problem.

Slowed down everything on the phone and it's a pain when apps get updated.

Didn't read the report, but Bitdefender Free works perfectly to compliment Play Protect.

Bitdefender and McAfee (included in some/most Samsung phones) both also available for free did great here.
So, if I didn't use a Samsung phone, I would take your advice of installing Bitdefender Free and be done with that.
