I loved VLC but,it could not play MPEG-2 TS video files ( with ts extension)

I was GOM Player user, but because of PUA-bundled update I switched to VLC and I'm happy with it. I've never tried any other mentioned here, so my vote is maybe biased/unfair

Windows Media Player always. VLC Media Player only for .mkv

MPC-HC + LAV Filters + madVR + Reclock gives you the best looking and smoothest playback after configuration.

This combination is unbeatable. You have to dedicate some time to get the best out of it, but the result is astonishing!
I also keep a copy of VLC, just in case.

VLC x64 it's just faster and better than the rest at least on my x64 machine.
